Data collection includes but is not limited to: locations of vendors / stores / DC's, transport rates for inbound / outbound as well as cube per load assumptions, warehouse fixed and variable costs as well as capacities, store volumes in cases & cube by product group, SKU's by product group including average cube per case and inventory DOH projections as well as SKU and volume growth projections
For new construction - cost per square foot by geographic region and by facility type i.e. ambient, refrigerated or frozen as well as land cost by acre by region
Network modeling software and expertise required for complex or larger networks
Agreement on inventory costing assumptions related to reduced stock holding locations (safety stock)
Senior management sign off on all key assumptions
Agreement on viable scenarios to be run and costed out
Detailed review of scenario results and costing prior to presentation to senior management
